The experimental opening of the first phase of Emdad Foods Logistics Center in Muscat was conducted. Emdad Foods Logistics Center in Muscat is the largest and most modern private space for storing food, and the most advanced facility in the field of refrigerated warehouses in the Sultanate.
The CEO of Emdad Foods, Mr. Mohammed Deghmesh, stated that the establishment of these cold storages which uses ammonia-refrigeration technology, came within the development and expansion plan of Emdad Foods, which aims to enhance the cold storages capacity for the Emdad’s Foods, in addition to serve other companies working in the area of food commodities and items’ trading.
Mr.Deghmesh reviewed the services provided by the Center to its customers, praising at the same time the efforts exerted by the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman and its constant keenness to introduce modern technologies, and qualitative economic projects, that will support and stimulate the movement of internal trade in the Sultanate. Mr.Mohammed Deghmesh affirmed the support of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for these initiatives and outstanding steps.
It is worth mentioning that Emdad Foods owns and operates several refrigerated warehouses in Salalah, Sohar and other Omani cities, with the aim of achieving the best and widest possible logistical coverage to support its food supply business.
Emdad Foods Project is the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman, and it specializes in storing and preserving fresh vegetables, fruits and frozen foods at different temperatures, humidity and environments that serve as necessary conditions for each individual product.
The logistics center is located in the Rusayl Industrial Estate, and the cold storages capacity of the first phase of the Emdad’s project reaches 12,000 tons distributed over forty cold rooms/warehouse units.
